The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 3, 1951 Charles Ardia, Pioneer, Passes Charles Ardia, born Sept. 22, 1861, died at the Pioneer’s home on June 29. He was a native of Switzerland and had been at the home since June 3, 1941. He entered it from Crown King. Mr. Ardia was a miner by occupation, and worked on the Poland tunnel at Walker. He was also a stone cutter and was one of the men to cut stone for the Yavapai County Courthouse. He s survived by relatives in Switzerland. Arrangements are pending. In charge is the Hunter Mortuary. ----------------- The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 4, 1951 Arizona Deaths Prescott – Charles Ardis, 90, died at the Pioneers Home Friday. A former resident of Crown King, he worked on the Pullman tunnel at Walker and helped cut the stone for the Yavapai County Courthouse ------------------ The Yavapai Messenger Friday, July 6, 1951 Charles Ardia Funeral Ready Funeral services for Charles Ardia, former resident of Crown King who died last week at the Pioneers’ home, are scheduled for 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Hunter Mortuary chapel. Burial will be in Mountain view cemetery. Mr. Ardia was a miner and stone mason. He helped cut stone for the Yavapai county court house. He was admitted to the Pioneer home June 3, 1941.
