HOWELL, Jo Ann

Jo Ann Howell passed away Jan 12, 2004, at age 70. She grew up in the in the western Kansas town of Ulysses where a brother Richard Martin and her mother Hazel Martin still live. Another brother, Bob Martin, lives in Kingswood, Texas. A brother in law, Bob Hines, resides in Ft. Worth. She is survived by her husband Harold, a son Kevin Howell and three daughters (Sarah Howell. Jo Debra Howell, and Karen Kay Hart). There are two granddaughters, Kimberly Hart and Jennifer Hart. Jo Ann was a very brave, courageous person with a history of heart problems for the past 12 years. She suffered a serious heart attack Dec. 28 and was making progress toward recovery until the final attack of Jan. 12, 2004. Members of her family and friends will miss her. A memorial service was held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N 59th Ave., Glendale. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th St., Tempe 85282 or the Arizona Kidney Foundation at 4203 E Indian School Rd., Phx, 85018.
