Gloria "Tootie" Anne Mercer, nee Adkins, age 65 of Phoenix, passed away on January 18, 2004 in Phoenix, AZ.
She was born on September 17, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois to Howard and Frances Adkins whom have preceded her in death.
She married William "Bill" Mercer on June 3, 1955 in Peoria, IL. They moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1962 and raised 4 children together. Gloria and Bill shared 41 wonderful years together before he passed away on August 8, 1996.
Gloria is survived by her four children; Kayla (David) Churchill, Brenda Beck and Jim Rosenwirth, Diane (Isreal) Rivera, Randy (Amy) Mercer. 10 grandchildren; Michael (Stephanie) Beck, Michelle (Dane) Zimmerle, Jennifer and Jason Churchill, Crystal (Miguel) Quinones, Conny and Scotty Rivera, Ashley, Melody and Stephanie Mercer. Six great-grandchildren; Arianna, Manual, Savannah, David, Michael Jr. and one on the way. One sister, Sharon Canollia; One brother, Richard Adkins.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation and funeral service was at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, Az.
