Francisco Ramirez, age 64 of Miami, Ariz., entered into rest Nov. 1, 2011 at Banner Baywood Medical Center with his family at his side. He was born in Globe, Ariz. on Dec. 3, 1946, the son of Angelina (Reyes) and Max Ramirez.
Francisco attended and graduated college. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969, during which time he spent nine months in Vietnam and 18 months in Germany. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He worked for the Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company 16 sixteen years due to his medical retirement.
Francisco was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. He enjoyed doing word puzzles, going to the casino, but for only a meal, watching the Wizard of Oz, but most all watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys.
Family was very important to Frankie. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He loved his grandchildren and was very protective of them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Angelina Ramirez; sisters, Rachel Garcia and Pauline “Baby” Ramirez; and brother-in-law, Elias Y. Garcia.
Francisco leaves behind in loving memory his wife of 42 years, Betty Ramirez of Miami, Ariz.; daughter, Denise Lopez (Marco) of Globe, Ariz.; brother, Joey Ramirez of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Angel, Jessica, Marco Jr., Elizabeth and Ashley; numerous nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W Sullivan St., Miami, Ariz.
Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. and Mass will begin at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements for Francisco Ramirez were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
