Donald Eugene Morris, born in Polk, Neb., on Feb. 28, 1943, passed away on Oct. 18, 2006.
Don was a pilot and had a lifelong passion for aviation that started in the United States Air Force where he accomplished 554 combat missions in Vietnam. Later he joined Southwest Airlines and retired after completing a wonderful 26 year career.
Family and friends will be remembering him at a memorial service to be held this Sunday at the Prescott Municipal Airport. The service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Granite Mountain Aviation/North-Aire hanger, located at 6543 Crystal Lane, Prescott.
Don is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years, Dottie; mother, Edna; children, Kim, Michael and Monica, son-in-law Justin; granddaughters, Laura and Taylor; siblings, Roger, Betty, Dennis, Barb, Deb, Mike and Louise.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donation be made to SWAPA Dependent Scholarship Fund, 1450 Empire Central Drive, Suite 737, Dallas, Texas.
