James Donald Worcester, 61, passed away Oct. 31, 2011 in Lake Havasu City. He was born Jan. 25, 1950, in Effingham, Ill., to Robert and Coletta Worcester.
Jim graduated from Newton Community High School in 1968 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1969-1970. He was a fireman for Wade Community Fire Protection district from 1970-1997. He married his beloved wife, Gail Phillips, in Newton, Ill., June 20, 1971. He moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago, coming from Newton, Ill. He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
Jim loved to golf and play poker. He was a long-time fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He also loved NASCAR. He will be deeply missed.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gail (Phillips) Worcester, of Lake Havasu City; son, Tracy Worcester; grandchildren, Devin and Carmen Worcester; sister, Gail Finn; as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Worcester; and his parents, Robert and Collie Worcester.
Visitation, funeral service and interment will be held in Newton, Ill.
