PRIEBE, Robert Charles

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, November 5, 2011 - Robert Charles Priebe passed away Oct. 29, 2011 in Bullhead City, Ariz., at the age of 93. He was born to Otto and Antonia (Felski) Priebe April 26, 1918, in Milwaukee, Wis. Robert made Lake Havasu his home 24 years ago from Milwaukee, where he was owner and operator of Priebe Shoe Store, a family business since the early 1900s. He enjoyed boating, traveling, candle making and gambling. Robert also liked working outside in the yard, landscaping and moving rocks. He was always happiest when he was telling jokes and stories. Robert leaves behind his beloved family, two sons, Todd Priebe and his wife, Carol, of Bullhead City, and Scott Priebe and his wife, Judy of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary, who passed away in 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations go in Robert’s memory to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.
