Margaret Isabelle Stevenson, 82, passed away at home in Lake Havasu City, surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 5, 2011. She was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Lockport, N.Y.
Margaret resided in Las Vegas, Nev., and Lake Havasu City the past few years, sharing her time with family. She was a self-taught insurance claims adjuster, administrative assistant, legal secretary and bookkeeper. She enjoyed family, bowling, crossword puzzles, gardening, gambling, baking and UNLV Rebel basketball. Margaret leaves behind a beautiful legacy and she will be deeply missed and always loved.
Margaret is survived by her children, Denise Baker, Mark Stevenson, Mary McLaughlin, Kathy Stevenson and Sharon Bradley; siblings, Richard Anderson, Peter Anderson and Kathy Adair, all of Lockport, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Anderson; husband, John "Jack" Stevenson; sons, John and Matthew Stevenson; and siblings, Delores Caldwell and Robert Anderson.
A visitation and service will be at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel, 2225 N. Kiowa Blvd. Tuesday, at 6 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, at Palm Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nev., where she will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband.
