SPELLMAN, Peggy Corrine


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Tuesday, November 8, 2011 3:06 AM MST Peggy Corrine Spellman passed away Nov. 3, 2011 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 74. She was born to Arthur and Ruth (Arkwright) Dicks Sept. 16, 1937, in Beaver Falls, Pa. Peggy married her best friend, Tom Spellman, Nov. 16, 1957, and together they made Lake Havasu their home 21 years ago from Rowland Heights, Calif. She was vice president for American Savings for several years. Before moving to Havasu, she loved gardening and she also loved to cook. She was a great cook and the family loved her cooking. Peggy was a member of the Elks bowling league. She enjoyed boating and spending time on the Lake with her family and close friends. Christmas shopping for her grandkids was great fun for Peggy and she loved her beautiful handmade collection of her mother’s ceramic dolls and dishes. Peggy leaves behind her beloved husband of almost 54 years, Thomas Spellman, of Lake Havasu City; sons, Thomas Arthur Spellman and his wife, Rose, of Upland, Calif., and Richard Spellman and his wife, Rosemary, of Ontario, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. The family has requested that donations go in Peggy’s memory to BPOE Lodge 2399, children’s funds and youth activities, 3532 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.
