The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/11/2011 Lee H. Weaver, 74, of Vernon died Sept. 15, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix. Lee was born March 9, 1937, in Sacramento, Calif. Lee was a resident of Vernon for the last six years and loved living in the White Mountains. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict on a heavy cruiser. He retired from Barbering in Costa Mesa, California, which he did for 55 years, and loved every minute of it. On the third Monday of every month, Lee cut Veterans' hair for free at the Elks Lodge in Show Low. He loved to talk to Veterans about their experience in the service. An avid train collector, he loved giving free rides on his train to the public and was in the process of building a track on his land. Lee is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Weaver; son Mark Weaver; eight grandchildren: Shauntee, Shay, Breann, Trisha, Krystl, Cayla, Wayd and Qwyn; five great-grandchildren with two more on the way. His daughter, Roxann preceded him in death in 2010. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Show Low Elks Lodge #2090, 805 E.
