HANNAH, James Phillip


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/11/2011 James Phillip Hannah died Nov. 5, 2011 in Phoenix at the Mayo Hospital surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with lupus. He was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Clarksburg, W. Va., the son of Corbin and Beth Hannah. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. James worked as an electrician for Salt River Project; retiring in October 2005 from the Coronado Generating Station. He married Janet Fuller in 1966 and had six children. Jim was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Janet Fuller-Hannah; children: J Dyron ‘JD' Hannah (Stephanie) of St. Johns, Maura (Melvin) Ballard of Snowflake, Chelle (Marvin) Johnson of Mesa, Jarrom Hannah of St. Johns; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers: Michael Christensen and Mark Christensen, Ivans, Utah; sisters: Lynne Reed of Apache Junction, Lorrie Cole of Thatcher, Louise Gola, W. Va., and Crystaleen Poynter of Stagecoach, Nev. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Hannah-Christensen, and sons: Clent Dallon and Brant Hannah. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Downtown Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Johns. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. at the church and a special children's viewing will be at 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow the service at the St. Johns Westside Cemetery.
