ALCHESAY, Clarence Linn (Sace)


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/11/2011 Clarence Linn Alchesay “Sace” of Whiteriver went into eternal rest Nov. 6, 2011, in Whiteriver. He was born June 13, 1939 in Whiteriver. Clarence was a stockman for North Fork and Forestdale livestock. He is the last survivor of Chief Alchesay. Clarence is survived by his companion, Delores Alchesay; sons: Gary Alchesay, Duane Alchesay, Linn Alchesay, Shawn Alchesay, Doy Alchesay; daughters: Clarice Henry, Melanie Alchesay, Starlene Manuel; sisters: Ruth (Alchesay) Goklish, Yvonne (Alchesay) Redsteer; 28 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; son-in-laws: Butch Henry, Marwin Dazen, Dennis Manuel; daughter-in-laws: Josephine Alchesay, Lela Rose Alchesay, Lena Josay; eight nieces, eight nephews; and many relatives and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons: Sace Alchesay, Baby Boy Alchesay; father Nathan Alchesay; mother Effie Alchesay; grandson Timothy Alchesay; brother Averill Alchesay; and sisters: Nancy Skidmore, Betty Stago. A wake will be held in his honor at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at his home in Alchesay Flats, E. Colelay Sreet. Funeral services will also be held at his home at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13. Burial will follow at the Alchesay Family Plot, near his home in Whiteriver. Arrangments were handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
