"Shakey Bob" passed peacefully Monday, Oct. 24, 2011. He was born Dec. 10, 1948, in Compton, Calif. Bob had a great sense of humor, witty and wise. He saw the best in life. Bob's passion was to be on the west coast in his sailboat - he said it made him feel free. Now he is sailing free in heaven.
Bob was proud of his service to his country in the U.S. Army. He served mostly in Panama as a field radio repairman. He was a decorated veteran with a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter - Rifle M-14.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Amanda of San Diego; son, Johnny; best friends and extended family, Gary Boltin and Diana Handel; and numerous close friends.
He will be laid to rest at Chloride Cemetery, Chloride, Ariz. We will have a celebration of life at noon Saturday at the Sportsmans Bar.
