Darrel Glenn Miller, age 72, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, in Las Vegas with family and friends by his side. He was born Sept. 4, 1939, in Kensett, Ark., to James Harry and Mary Helen Manasco Miller.
Darrel grew up in Prescott and graduated from Williams High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps between the Korean and Vietnam wars. As a young man he was a bullfighter on the rodeo circuit. He also worked as an operator in construction for most of his life. He settled in Kingman, working for Mohave County Roads Department and Desert Construction, Inc. He enjoyed drawing, hunting, four-wheeling, woodworking, golfing, and was a member of the Elks Lodge for over 50 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Erinn (Brent) Thompson of Logandale, Nev., seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one sister, LaVerne Del Rae and many friends. He was preceded in death by one grandson.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Elks Lodge, 900 Gates Ave., Kingman.
We lost a true gentleman and one great cowboy.
