BEEDLES, Rolla (Billie)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, January 21, 2007 Rolla "Billie" Beedles, age 97, passed away on Jan. 15 at her home in Prescott Valley. She was born in Ensign, Kansas, in 1909, the seventh of nine brothers and sisters, to Fred and Cora Bishop. All have preceded her in death. Her husband of 54 years, Bert Beedles, preceded her in death in 1990. Rolla is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Judy Beedles of Prescott Valley; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and thirteen great-grand-children, as well as her "adopted" daughter, Linda Weston, and many friends in both California and Arizona. She was lovingly cared for in her final days by her family and Granite Mountain Hospice. Plans for a memorial service are pending. There will be a gathering of Billie's family, friends and neighbors at her home to celebrate her life on Saturday, Jan. 27, from noon until 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Granite Mountain Hospice, who were remarkable in their caring for her.
