Jean Stalhut, a saint to all who knew her, went home to be with her beloved husband, Gomer Stalhut, on Jan. 18, 2007.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Marie Stalhut; son, Thomas Lee Stalhut; five grandchildren, Linda Smith and husband Ron, Bill Seggie and wife Penni, Becky DeWitt and husband James, Tonya Rivello and husband Tony, and Audra Taylor and husband Prentice; ten great-grandchildren, Hanna Smith, Shane Moore, Jacob Smith, Maygan Weimer, Kyle DeWitt, Haley Rose Rivello, Anthony Rivello, Jace Taylor, Wyatt Seggie, and Justin Taylor; one great-great grandson, Noah Smith; and one step sister-in-law, Ida Van Riter.
She was the matriarch of the Stalhut family, and nothing ever came before her family. She was a dedicated community volunteer in the Chino Valley area for many causes. She always enjoyed the fellowship she found with the Church and other organizations she was involved in. Those who knew her understood that there was not a dull moment in her life; she made every moment count. Her loving ways will never be forgotten.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott, with graveside services to follow at the Chino Valley Cemetery.
Services are being arranged by Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make a donation in her name to KRMC Hospice, 3639 Stockton Hill, Kingman, Ariz., 86409.
