ASMUS, Esther Joan

Esther Joan Asmus, 83, of Scottsdale, AZ. Born April 19, 1921 in Hillrose, CO and returned to God's loving arms Jan. 20, 2004. Beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grand-mother and friend, she is survived by her devoted husband Ed, 87, and loving members of her family: Barry, Amanda, Lynn, Gayle, Robert, Angela, Andrew, Nicole, Drew, Raegan and Emilee. Esther grew up in Hillrose, CO and resided in Ft. Morgan, CO from 1921 to 1960. She and Ed then moved to Ft. Collins, CO where she served and was a member of the First Baptist Church and active with Christian Women's Club. Esther made many cherished friends in Ft. Collins. Upon retirement Ed and Esther moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1996 to be near their children. Esther is survived by four brothers and sisters; Milton Nuss of Sun City West, AZ, Helen Kroft of Grand Rapids, MI, Gladys Body of Lakewood, CO, and Fred Nuss of Ft. Morgan, CO. Funeral services were held at the Scottsdale Bible Church Chapel, 1 block West of Hayden on Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please send gifts to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
