Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from November 6 to November 13, 2011 - Clara "Jady" Smith, age 72, a 40-year resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz., died Saturday, October 29, 2011 in Mesa, Ariz. Jady, a retired blackjack dealer, was born January 7, 1939, in Hominy, Okla. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Davis, mother, Lula Paul, and brother, Don Davis. Jady is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Smith; four sons, Ken (Tammie) Jordan of Mohave Valley, Rod (Cheryl) Jordan of Kingman, Ariz., Mike (Tina) Jordan of Fort Mohave, and Jason Smith of Chandler, Ariz.; two sisters, Jody Adams of Laughlin, Nev., and Becky (Bob) Swanson of Mohave Valley; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews; and countless close friends who she loved like family. A private memorial for family and close friends will be announced at a later date.
