Alan Freeman Wallstead, age 83, of Heimdal, North Dakota, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, in Fort Mohave, Ariz. He was born October 13, 1934, in Traver City, Mich.
In March of 1964, Alan and his wife, Barbra, moved to Bullhead City with their two sons. While living in Bullhead City, he was manager/part owner of Hillside Sports Center Boat Shop. Additionally, Alan started, owned and operated the Idea Factory Trophy Shop, and he also helped to design, build and manage the Chaparral Golf Course.
Alan was a past president of the Bullhead Chamber of Commerce, he served as a volunteer on both the Bullhead Fire Department and Sheriff's Department, and for eight years, he was the voice of the T-Birds.
In 2002, Alan and his wife retired to Heimdal, North Dakota.
Alan will be greatly missed by his family and friends. To the greatest Dad, "Thanks for everything!"
Mr. Wallstead was preceded in death by his wife, Barbra.
He is survived by two sons, William (Colleen) Wallstead of Fort Mohave, Ariz., and Robert (Wendy) Wallstead of Phelan, Calif.; six grandchildren, Jessica Allen, Mickey Wallstead, Luke Wallstead, Corrine Boyd, Amy Wallstead, and Matt Wallstead; and also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Kierstynn Flores, Hayden Allen, Adam Flores, with two more on the way.
