ROOTH, Stewart (Stu)


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 17, 2006 Stewart "Stu" Rooth died Oct. 14, 2006, at his residence in Prescott Valley. He was born Dec. 20, 1942, in Lindsborg, Kansas,, the son of Harold and Twila (Lovall) Rooth. Stu was 63 years old. Stu moved to the Prescott area 24 years ago from Pennsylvania. He prided himself as a dynamic educator; he taught Economics and Finance at both Yavapai College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He was a beloved member of the Elks Lodge 330 in Prescott Valley. Stu was an avid collector of antiques, guns and coins. He was a fine craftsman of woodworking, guns and HO trains. He enjoyed cooking, hospitality, and laughing with others, and he will be missed by all. Stu is survived by his children, Jill and Brian Rooth; his mother, Twila Zaragoza; and his former wife, of 36 years, Rose Marie. A luncheon and memorial reception will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Elks Lodge in Prescott Valley.
