Mary Chase Henderson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Born January 16, 1916 in Shelbina, Missouri; died January 23, 2004.
Preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Henderson and long-time friend, Thomas Maggard of Scottsdale. Survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Unrau of Fort Collins, Colorado and her son, John R. Henderson and wife, Cheryl, of Munds Park, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stacey Button (Derek), Jay Henderson (Marian), Ali Worick (Terry), Britt Dinsmore, and Evan Unrau; step-grandchildren Heather Schelle (Ronald), Jeffrey Case; and 7 great grandchildren.
Mary attended Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a life interest that likely came from her grandfather, The Honorable James T. Lloyd, who served as a Democrat in the United States House of Representatives from Missouri for eighteen years.
While living for approximately 40 years in Monroe City, Missouri, she was active in her church and community, and together with her husband, assisted in the creation and development of a sheltered workshop. She devoted her adult life to raising her children.
