BROWNE, SR., Charles Colston


Charles Colston Browne, Sr., of Phoenix, AZ, husband, father, and beloved friend, died after one a.m. on Jan. 13, 2004, after being diagnosed with brain cancer just five short months prior. As a devoted father Charlie volunteered his time to Civil Air Patrol and was a Band Parent for Paradise Valley High School. His love for camping and fishing brought him to Roosevelt with his RV during his short retirement. Charlie served his country with distinction and honor for 27 years, as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve, serving in the Vietnam War. Then moved on to water and waste management at Luke Air Force base where he retired in 2000. His wife and fishing buddy of 33 years Dayna, his children, Don and Chuck of Phx AZ, their wives Shelley and Kara, respectively, and grandsons Cody, Brian and Morgan. Sister Judy Duckworth with her husband Steven of Ewing NJ, Suzanne Krzos with her husband Ron of Cape Coral FL, Sister Michelle Alphonse with her husband Al and Brother Matthew Browne of Lawrenceville NJ, Sister in law and Brother in law Judy and Ben Van Morter of Phx Az, Brother in Law and Sister in law Walt and Linda Edwards of Wrightstown NJ, His favorite Aunt Jean Catana and his favorite Niece Debra Buckley of Trenton NJ. His many dear and close friends, many fishing buddies and RV camping friends also grieve his passing. Charlie and Dayna would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and three very important Hospice people who showed love, passion and much caring, Judy La Brun, Mark Rivard, and Michelle Nache'. Charlie was a great man and will always be remembered for his kind spirit and generous nature. His memory will live forever in the good deeds of his fellow man. Special thanks all friends and family for the wonderful care and support shown to Charlie in his time of need. A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N.
