Goldie Mae (Stackhouse) Begley, 69, of Boulder City, Nevada, passed away November 10, 2011. A funeral service will honor her life on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Boulder Creek Golf Course Pavilion, Boulder City, Nevada. Born in Independence, Mo., on July 26, 1942 to Wanda and Owen Stackhouse, she and Harold were married in the fall of 1964.
The family moved to Boulder City in 1974 where she immediately fell in love with the community. A true "Service above Self" go-getter with a creative mind and energy to spare. She was the ‘volunteer supreme' putting her big heart, small body and fast dancing feet into the community she loved.
She will be most lovingly remembered as Harold's caring best friend and very supportive and encouraging wife of 47 years, mother of two wonderful sons, Rob and Rick, and Taylor's extremely proud grandmother.
In lieu of all flowers, the family suggests that Goldie (with the ‘hangy down G') Begley can best be honored with contributions in her name by contacting the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce.
