The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, July 30, 2006 In Loving Memory of Brenda Sue Jones, Feb. 16, 1966 - July 16, 2006. Beloved wife of her loving husband, Doug Jones, and mother of her beautiful son, Adam, both of El Cerrito, Calif., passed away with her family and friends by her side on July 16, 2006, after a short, courageous battle with a rare form of cancer. Brenda was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on Feb. 16, 1966, and moved to Mayer, Ariz., in 1973. She graduated from Mayer High School in 1984 and made El Cerrito her home in 1993. Brenda touched many lives with her gentle spirit, humor, and positive outlook on life. She enjoyed playing sports and was an avid sports fan. She coached her son's baseball and basketball teams for many years. She loved children and devoted many hours to programs to benefit them, including the Castro Elementary PTA and the Children's Miracle Network. She was always there with a helping hand and an open heart. She will be missed tremendously by all those whose lives she touched. Brenda is survived by her mother, Nancy Thomas of Lathrop, Calif.; step-son, Eric Jones (Vicki) of Dublin, Calif.; brother, David Thomas (Carolyn) of Tracy, Calif.; brother, Brian Thomas (Sherie) of Mt. Carmel, Tenn.; sister, Ramona Tucker of San Diego, Calif.; her guardian angel and little sister, Wendy Schuck (Allen) of Lathrop, Calif.; her lifelong best friend, Michelle Harbison (Joel) of Prescott; and two granddaughters, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Rockefeller Lodge, 2650 Market Avenue, San Pablo, Calif., 94806. Information provided by survivors.
