Bob Dalton was welcomed into heaven on July 21, 2006. Born Feb. 17, 1920, in San Bernardino, Calif., to the Selleck family, he was adopted at the age of 3 by Pastor Charles and Aseneth Dalton.
He met Ruth while in their teens and they married in 1946 and enjoyed 60 years of devoted love, raising five children. They lived in California, then Oregon, and came to live in Prescott with daughter Linda and her husband Jay Riley just two years ago.
Bob served in the Merchant Marines during WWII as a Chief Electrician. Later he worked as an electrical engineer and control systems engineer.
The Daltons owned their own engineering business in San Carlos, Calif., in the '60s and later owned and operated a bakery in Brookings, Ore., in the '80s.
Bob never forgot to say "Thank you" and "I love you" through several years of living with Alzheimer's. He is greatly missed.
The family's thanks go to the staffs of the VA Hospice Team and Gold Team, Prescott Adult Care, and to all in this lovely and welcoming community. And thank you, God, for Bob's well-lived time here and the reunion to come.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
