BURCHARD, Jayne

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, December 16, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved sister, Jayne Burchard, on Tuesday, Dec 12, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Jayne was born in Granville, Ohio, daughter of Marguerite and Fred Burchard and granddaughter of Helen and Blaine Yingling, all of Granville, Ohio. Surviving siblings are broker Rod Burchard and wife Andinea of Virgil, Ontario, Canada; sister Diane Burchard of Cochiti Lake, N.M.; nephews John Burchard and wife Laura of Cleveland, Ohio, and Paul Burchard of Bangkok, Thailand. Jayne was a graduate of Granville High School and attended the Berkley School of Jazz in Boston, Mass. She spent most of her adult life in Port Charcotte, Fla., and was employed by the Florida Department of Education and Transportation. After leaving Florida, she resided in Santa Fe, N.M., and later moved to Chino Valley, Ariz. Jayne will always be remembered by her many friends as a generous, loving person, ready to help anyone with whatever problems they had. She loved her horses and her dog, Cleo, and spent a great deal of her time in Florida competing in horse shows, where she won many blue ribbons for her handling of her beloved pinto, Montock. The family wishes to thank the staff at Mountain View Manor Care Center in Prescott, especially Donna, for their loving care during her illness. We also wish to thank Carla, especially Beverly and the staff at the Northern Arizona Fiduciaries in Prescott, for their dedication to Jayne's care and well-being. Jayne will be buried next to her mother at the Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, Fla. Donations in her memory can be made at your local American Diabetes Association and local animal rescue society. Information provided by survivors.
