Fred Lee Botkin, age 70 of Miami, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Carondelet St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz. He was born in Riverton, Wyo. on June 18, 1941, the son of Norma L. McFarlin and Frank M. Botkin.
Fred was a member of the Moose Lodge. His hobbies included collecting trains, John Wayne memorabilia, tinkering in the garage and working on cars. He was always trying to gain more knowledge of old history info and his family tree.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen K. Rutherford, and his parents.
Fred leaves behind in loving memory his wife, Karen K. (Kelly) Botkin; seven children, Troy Botkin, Shelly Botkin, Drew Botkin, Keri Jo Botkin all of Texas, Thomas Hibdon of Utah, Mark Hibdon of Tucson, Ariz. and Sheila Hibdon of Claypool, Ariz.; one brother, Frank (Bud) Botkin of Texas; two sisters, Patty Miller of Wyoming and Bonnie Soukup of Tucson, Ariz.; father-in-law, Albert B. Kelly of Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. a Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland Street, Globe, Ariz.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel.
