Carrie Jane Butcher Kendall, mother, grandma, and great-grandma, returned to her Heavenly Father and the loving embrace of her husband on Nov. 13. She was born on Dec. 13, 1929 to Lloyd and Phoebe Butcher in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She married Milburn D. Kendall, Sr. on May 24, 1948. Later they moved to Lander, Wyo., then back to Salt Lake where she worked at St. Marks Hospital before moving to Wickenburg in 1981, where she worked at the Meadows for 23 years. She enjoyed making quilts and crocheting, but she made the best homemade bread.
She is survived by her children Beverly Jones, Patricia Kendall, Milburn and Linda Kendall, and LaVar and Alison Kendall; 15 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, and was preceded in death by husband Milburn Kendall in 2006 and two brothers.
There will be a viewing Thursday (Nov. 17) at the Wickenburg Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. with funeral services held Friday (Nov. 18) at 11 a.m. with viewing one hour prior at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, at Wickenburg Way and Lazy Fox Rd.
