Elaine Marie Vogeltinz Cline of Prescott passed away Dec. 8, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Elaine was born Nov. 29, 1921, to Frank and Elsie Vogeltanz in South St. Paul, Minn.
She graduated from South St. Paul High School. She served as a WAVE in the United States Navy during World War II from May 13, 1943, to Oct. 4, 1945, and was honorably discharged in San Francisco, Calif.
She worked for the Bank of America in San Francisco and Bourns Laboratory in Riverside, Calif. In her later years, she worked at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona, as a nurse's aide.
Upon retirement she participated in many senior activities, including the Adult Day Care Center in Prescott, where she met and enjoyed many friends.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 6 in Prescott, Arizona from 1996 until 2005.
Elaine is survived by daughter, Susan (James) Fitzgerald of Prescott, Arizona; son, Gregory (Jenna) Seay of Kingman, Arizona; sisters Carol (Orville) Riggle of San Gregorio, Calif., and Becky (Val) Sieczkowski of Niles, Ohio; brothers Frank (Debra) Vogeltanz, Marlowe and Duke Vogeltanz, all of Laporte, Minn.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Seay of Riverside, Calif., her daughter, Linda (John) Gist of Kingman, Ariz., and sisters Viola (Grant) Folger of South St. Paul, Minn., and Doreen (Russell) Smith of Riverside, Calif.
Services will take place at the Veterans Affairs Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, officiated by Chaplin Jack Unangst, Captain U.S.N. retired.
Interment to follow at a later date at the Veterans Cemetery in Prescott. The American Legion Post 6 Color Guard of Prescott, Arizona will assist.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the V.A. Hospice or Hospice Family Care, Inc., both of whom provided care and comfort for Elaine and her family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
