Nina C. Joy, age 83, passed away December 10, 2006, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Nina was born July 13, 1923, the daughter of Richard Kent and Hattie May (Cluff) Farnsworth.
Mrs. Joy is survived by her husband and sweetheart of 64 years, Charlie R. Joy, of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Together, Nina and Charlie lived all across Arizona while he worked in the highway contracting business and later they raced horses in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska and California.
Nina is also survived by her three children and their spouses, Charlene and Jim Baker, of Sun City, Ariz., Charlotte and Louis Hall, of Dewey, Ariz. and Bob and Roxanne Joy, of Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Joy had 16 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe sent to Prescott Valley Samaritan Center In Memory of Nina Joy, 3380 North Windsong Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona, 86314.
Commemoration Services in honor of Nina will be Thursday, December 14, 2006, 11 a.m., at the LDS Church, 7885 E. Long Look Dr., Prescott Valley, Ariz., with Bishop White officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the LDS Church, Relief Society Room.
Burial will be at Heritage, Memorial Park in Dewey, Arizona.
