Marvin G. Berlin Jr., 86, died January 21, 2004.
Marvin died after a prolonged battle with emphysema, COPD and CHF.
Marvin was born January 4, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana and lived most of his life in the Midwest. A veteran who served in the Air Force during WWII.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine Bryan Berlin. Marvin resided in Chandler, Arizona where he was cared for by his daughter, Kim Jackson and grandson Jason. He is also survived by daughters Kris and Kathy (Bend, Oregon), son, Bryan, and several grandchildren.
Marvin relocated to Phoenix in 1976, where the self-employed businessman opened the first of several print shops in the East Valley. In his later years he was slowly blinded by macular degeneration and then lived with his daughters between Chandler and Oregon.
Marvin touched many lives, was very loved, and will be greatly missed!
Memorial service was Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, Alma School and Chandler Heights Roads. Donations will be greatly appreciated by Lutheran Ministries.
