HAUGE, Erling Trygve (Trig)


Erling Trygve (Trig) Hauge was born to Mrs. Anna Schjeldrup Hauge and Dr. Melvin M. Hauge on August 17, 1911 in Clarkfleld, Minnesota. He completed Medical School at The University of Minnesota in 1939. He was married to Emiline Euodia Swenson on September 15, 1939. His five years of war service began in 1941; spending three years in New Guinea as a Flight Surgeon for the Army. He practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Minneapolis, Minnesota until retirement. The next 10 years of his life were spent raising Arabian horses on the beautiful St. Croix River in Scandia, Minnesota. In 1980 he retired to Sun City West and lived there until his death. He is survived by his wife of 64 wonderful married years; and daughter, Barbara Allen, of Phoenix. Their son, Mark, preceded him in death in 1989. His memory will always live in our hearts. A memorial service for Dr. Hauge was held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Lord of Life Lutheran Church; or Sun Health Hospice.
