Virginia Andrews Jemas, 95, of Scottsdale passed away on January 24, 2004. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on May 19, 1908 and moved to Arizona 25 years ago from Missouri. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Karageannes, Mary Ann Catsavis and Catherine Wallerich; son, John Spencer; sisters, Esther Zazanis and Tula Diamond; brother, Rev. Constantine Andrews; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; daughter, Esther Zinis and son, Chris Zinis. Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 28, 2003 with Trisagion Service at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral was Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1973 E. Maryland, Phoenix, AZ. 85016. The family requests memorial contributions to the church.
