MCMILLON, LaVore

LaVore McMillon, 88 of Phoenix, passed away January 25, 2004. She was born October 26, 1915 in Chesterfield, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband W.M. McMillon. She is survived by daughters, Cherie King and her husband Bernie, Katrina Adair and her children Brendan and Brittany, Jacquie Robertson and her husband Steve and their children Janel and Garett, and her son Kent. Also survived by grandchildren - Lance and Dawn McMillon and two great grandchildren- Lane and Angel. She and her husband owned and operated McMillon's Insurance Agency for many years. She was an active member of the Does Club and volunteered at Valley of the Sun School. Her favorite pastimes included enjoying her grandchildren's various activities, attending craft shows, reading, playing cards, gardening, and spending time at her Oak Creek get-away "Mac's Folly". Visitation and services were Thursday, January 29, 2004. at Chapel of the Chimes 7924 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Valley of the Sun School, 1142 W. Hatcher, Phoenix, AZ 85021 or Hospice of the Valley 3238 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016-7107.
