Dorothy Ann Maxwell died Oct. 17, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1919, in Scobey, Mont., the daughter of Samuel and Anna (Skerritt) Acheson. Dorothy was 87 years old.
Seven years ago, Dorothy moved to Prescott to be with her family.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting, bowling, and especially the family camping trips in the mountains of Colorado, where she could dip a line in a stream and fish.
Dorothy was proudest of her family.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Jan (David) Pollock and son Don (Jayne) Maxwell; granddaughters Kelly (Steve), Karri (Matthew), Ann (Anthony), Amy (Todd) and Amber; and great-grandchildren Hannah, Kayla, Christian, Andrew, Ellie, Mia, Kate, Isabella and Audrey.
She will be missed tremendously by all.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton, Prescott.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Pediatric Dept., 1003 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz., 86301.
