Helen R. Bandy, of Phoenix, entered into rest January 24, 2004 at the age of 81. She was born December 18, 1922 in Bangor Township, Iowa. She graduated from Clemens High School in Clemens, IA. After 28 years of service she retired from the Maricopa County Assessor's Office. Survivors include her son, William L. Dee, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Linda K. Wellborn and brother, Jack Dickover precede her in death. Services were held Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Camelback Sunset Chapel Funeral Home in Phoenix. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/28/2004.
