MCDONALD, Diana Ruth

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 11/18/2011 Diana Ruth McDonald died Oct. 2, 2011. She was the daughter of Otoniel and Elvira Gallagos and was preceded in passing by her parents and a sister Betty. Diana was a retired school teacher serving the Sanders Unified School District for 31 years. She was one of the first EMT volunteers in her community as well as being an active member of the Lion's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the owner of multiple small businesses in the Sanders area, floral designer, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Dawn Chantell Ivester of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Cody Alan McDonald of Chambers; three brothers: Gilbert, Isaac and Robert; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Valley Baptist Church on Highway 191.
