DOBASH, Paul

Paul Dobash was born August 26, 1919, the sixth of twelve children of Joseph and E1izabeth Dobash who immigrated to the USA in their early 1900s. Paul grew up in Ebervale, Pennsylvania and joined the Air Force when he was nineteen. He served as a fighter plane mechanic during WWII and rapidly rose to Master Sergeant and Flight Line Chief. He was stationed throughout the USA, Germany and GooseBay, Labrador before retiring as Chief Master Sergeant at Luke AFB in 1958. He then attended Arizona State University where he gained three degrees in education, BA, MA and an Ed Specialist. He worked at night to support his family while studying and then taught in Cartwright School District where he retired as a principal in 1982. He met and married Helen Louise Lang in 1943 in Stark, Florida. Over sixty years together, Paul and Helen produced a large and loving family of six children (Russell, Peggy, David, Kathy, Patrick and Christopher), eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Paul was a devoted husband, a loving and caring father and a doting 'Papa' to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a strong man who made an important mark on those nearest him. He will be missed. Visitation: Thursday, January 29, 2004 with Scripture Reading, Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, Arizona.
