WILLIS, Edwin L. (Spotts)

Edwin L. "Spotts" Willis, 81, passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2004 with all of his family at his side. Spotts was a life-long Arizonan. He grew up on a farm at 22 Ave. and Indian School. He attended Alhambra Grade School and Glendale High School. He was an active participant in sports all of his life. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and retired after 20 years from the AZ National Guard. He was the president of Arizona Elevator and was one of the original "Up and Down Boys". He took pride in his family, and was a devoted father and grandfather. He was an exceptional husband. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margie, daughters Debbie and Diane, son-in-law John, and grandsons Matthew and Michael. A celebration of his life was held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Jan. 31, 2004, 6300 N. Central Ave. Interment followed at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren. We will miss you, Papa.
