Services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 21, 2011, at Willow Hills Baptist Church, 1071 Mogollon Road, Prescott. Arrangements by Sunrise Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, November 22, 2011 Juanita June Tramel, born June 20, 1926, in Potaw, Okla., passed away Nov. 17, 2011 in Prescott, Ariz. June was the eldest of her 10 siblings, and Darrell was the fifth of his 10 siblings. They married and had one son, Darrell Allan. They lived in both Lubbock and Snyder, Texas, and relocated to Prescott in 1963. They settled into the area and began attending First Southern Baptist Church, which they have remained members of for more than 40 years. It was here that June began to find her new roots and make lifelong friends. With the many church activities and volunteering opportunities, she became planted. She took a job at Prescott High School in the attendance office. Many a high school student passed by her window and when she retired after 22 years - she'd meet former students who would tell her how she had touched their lives. She continued with volunteer work in the community for many years, many of those at the Chamber of Commerce. June is survived by her husband Darrell; son Allan; grandson Ryan; grandson Dustin and his wife Katie and daughters Ivy, Vera and Roxanne; and a large family of Hamiltons and Tramels. Our family wishes to thank you for those valued friendships, care, and support over the years and especially the staff of the Marley House that made her journey home to God comfortably and peaceful.
