Dorothy Jean White Evans passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011, from causes incident to age. She was born August 2, 1923 to Harold and Cora Marie Peckham White in Ames, Iowa.
Dorothy married Gordon Evans, Jr. (Scooter) in 1941. They had three children together, Gary, Vicky and Skipper. Scooter and Dorothy resided in Flagstaff for many years.
She spent the last eleven years of her life in Ogden, Utah with her daughter, Vicky; granddaughters, Becky and Bridgett and 12 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her husband.
Surviving are her children, Gary Evans (Rhonda) Shertz, Texas; Vicky Harrelson (Ed), Ogden, Utah; and Skip Evans (Pam) Appple Valley, California; one sister, Maxine McGee, Glendale, Arizona; also 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the fabulous critical care staff at the Ogden Regional Medical Center and the wonderful paramedics that transported her.
