Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, November 19, 2011 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Scott Soden, age 70, Nov. 16, 2011. He was born May 3, 1941, to Jack and Kathrine Soden, of Needles Calif. He retired from Pacific Gas and Electric after 30-plus years of service. Jim was a member of the Lake Havasu Elks Lodge and enjoyed volunteering with the Marine Corps League. He also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and activities such as riding off road vehicles, camping, fishing, traveling and spending his summers in Mancos, Colo. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Debbie; brother, Larry (Meg); sister, Mary (Windy) Davis; and his children Scott, Jeff (Eva), Jill (Aaron) Ada, Cara Pulaski (Bruce Collins), and Andy (Ben) Fisher. He was a proud papa to his 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be Saturday at 10:30am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City, Those wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Jim can be made to his favorite charity, Best Friends Animal Society.
