Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, November 19, 2011 Vernon James “Jim” Eardley Jr. April 3, 1954 — Nov. 14, 2011 Jim lost his lengthy battle with cancer at his home in Lake Havasu City, Nov. 14. He was 57 years old. He was born in Elko, Nev., April 3, 1954, to Vernon James and Barbara Callahan Eardley. He attended elementary, middle and high school in the Reno-Sparks area. Jim received his bachelor’s degree at University of Nevada, Reno. Later he attended Northern Arizona University where he completed the physical therapy program. At the time of his death, he was Director of Therapy Services at Havasu Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Diana; son, Brandon; brother, Larry; sister, Tracey Weyer; two nephews; one niece; and his life-long friend, David Whittemore. A Celebration of Life honoring Jim will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 3, at Shugrue’s, 1425 N. McCulloch Blvd.
