HARSHMAN, Darcy

(Maiden Name: Walser)

Darcy Harshman - Our precious Darcy went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, January 26, 2004. Words will never be able to express how much she will be missed by her family and friends. Darcy touched everyone she met in a loving and special way. She brought out the best in people because that's all she chose to see in them. Darcy left behind and will be sadly missed by her devoted husband, Dan Harshman; loving parents, Lyn and Guy Walser; brothers, Kevin, Tad, and Jake; and grandmother, Lavon Weitenhagen. She will also be missed by numerous family members and friends, many from the Everett and Bellingham, Washington area. Darcy began a successful career as a hair stylist with Les Moodie and Friends in Bellingham back in 1982. She continued this career path until 1996 when she moved to Arizona looking for the sunshine that she enjoyed so much. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed running, hiking, boating, fishing, camping, and she also loved vacations on the beach in Hawaii and Mexico with her family and friends. Darcy loved to laugh, especially at her own jokes. Born on Christmas Eve 1961, she always felt it a privilege to share such a close birthday to her Lord Jesus. It was her favorite time of the year. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful and caring people at Hospice of the Valley who took such good care of Darcy. Also, our love & appreciation to Nurse Joyce, Scottsdale Healthcare, who made house calls in her slippers and PJ's when Darcy needed her. We love you darling, give our love to Grandpa. A celebration of Darcy's life was held at Calvary Chapel North Phoenix, 14201 N 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032 on Saturday, 1/31/04. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1501 E Flower Street, Phoenix AZ 85014. Arrangements entrusted to Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/30/2004.
