Norman Robert Morris, age 72, a resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011, from a heart attack. Norman was doing what he loved, with people he loved, at the time of his death - he was with his grandson, Jason and his brother-in-law, Jerry, shooting the breeze after a day of auctions.
Norman was an amazing father, whose passion and love for his family has anchored and strengthened them throughout their lives. His dedication and strength has helped many people over the course of his life and his generosity has touched more. His house was the hangout place for many boys growing up, teaching them how to work on cars, camp, dirt bike ride, fish, having fun and how to fix things, and through example, he taught many a young man the value of hard work and honesty.
Norman was an avid gardener, who became a "Master Gardener" in retirement and spent many hours teaching and helping other people the passion of growing vegetables. He was an outspoken proponent of gun rights and supported the NRA his entire life. His passions were fishing, hunting, attending auctions and garage sales, and being part of others lives.
Norman was Father, Dad, Pop, Papa, Grandpa and friend to many. Its has been said before that Norman was father to two, but "Dad" to many and he will be missed always by many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morris and his mother, Lucille Chestnut; and his sister, Martha Cope.
Norman is survived by his son, Robert Morris of Bullhead City, Ariz., daughter, Fawnda Marie Rogers of Telluride, Colorado; four grandchildren, Jason Eugene Walton, Seth Adam Morris, Colten Norman Rogers and Brook Cameron Roger; two sisters, Dorothy Delp and Kathyrn Gregory; and two brothers, Peter Chestnut and Stephen Chestnut.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Dimond and Sons Silver Bell Chapel, 2060 Silver Creek, Bullhead City, Ariz.
