SOWERS, Ray Andrews

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from November 20 to November 27, 2011 - Ray Andrew Sowers, age 74, a 26-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., died Friday, November 4, 2011, in his Bullhead City home with his loving wife of 54 years, Beverly Sowers, by his side. Ray worked as a Los Angeles County Sheriff from 1964 to 1984. He was in the United States Navy Reserves for eight years, and served during the Berlin Crisis. Ray enjoyed playing cards with friends, vacationing in the Arizona mountains, and bowling. Ray was a hard worker, a loyal friend, and a loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Lynette and Laura; and his four grandchildren, Alyson, Chase, Kyle, and Jacquelyn.
