MARTINEZ, Delfina R.

Delfina R. Martinez, 77, passed away January 27, 2004. She was born September 23, 1926 in Laveen, Arizona and resided in Phoenix and the last five years in Tempe. She was born to Maria Jesus Calderon and Joaquin Ruiz and is preceded in death by her husband Alex and daughter, Alexandria. She is survived by daughters Pearl Cordova (Mike Brown), Ruby, Esmeralda, Christina (Clarence Catron), Rebecca and sons Ronnie (Sabrina) and Lawrence (Dalia), brothers Armando and Joe Ollarsaba and sister Maria Elena Hernandez, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mom, an original member of Holy Family Parish participated and enjoyed the fund raising events at the church. The tortilla-making parties were a favorite. Visitation with Rosary was held Friday, January 30, 2004 at Holy Family Church located at 6802 S. 24th Street, Phoenix. Mass of Christian Burial was on Saturday, January 31, 2004 with burial immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her name are requested to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Arrangements entrusted to Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home.
