POSTLEWAIT, Levi E.


Levi E Postlewait passed at 11:30 a.m., January 26, 2004. Levi was born December 20, 1930, in Spokane Washington, and moved to the Phoenix area in 1986. Levi was preceded in death by his mother and father, Minta and Levi Orten Postlewait, two brothers, Tom and Jack, and a sister, May. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donovan and Bernice Postlewait, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Levi attracted many friends and business acquaintances both in Washington, Arizona, and throughout the country. Levi's greatest passion was construction, and he embraced many challenges involved in this industry. Levi's work can be seen throughout the west in many bridges, lakes, buildings and other structures. Some of his greatest achievements were the construction of the Spokane, Washington World Fair Expo, Castles and Coasters in Phoenix, Arizona, countless bridges and many other projects. Levi also had a great love for animals and photography. He will be greatly missed by many. A memorial service was held on Monday, February 2, 2004, at Ritchie Brothers Auction Yard, 5410 W Lower Buckeye Road, Phoenix AZ 85043. A funeral service was held concurrently in Spokane, Washington.
