Adolf Hegre, 78, a Phoenix resident for twelve years, passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2004.
He was born on April 2, 1925, in Stavanger, Norway.
In 1947, after serving as a Military Policeman in the Norwegian Air Force during World War II, Adolf and his wife immigrated to the USA. He selected Chicago, Illinois, for a career in carpentry and was a member of the local union # 131 for forty years.
Adolf is survived by his lovely wife of 56 years Malene Hegre; two daughters Sandra Guzeldere (Ali) and Mary Ann Anderson; five grandchildren Kym Smith (Wayne), Stacey Guzeldere, Koray Guzeldere, Markus Stepetin, and Adam Guzeldere; two great grandchildren Katyna Lillo and Kaylee Guzeldere; one great great grandchild Mason Giannantonio; and three siblings Torbjon Hegre, Torvald Hegre, and Malene Paulson. His parents Martin and Salvina Hegre; daughter Ginger Hernandez; and siblings Ingfrid Johansen, Magne Hegre, and Anne Maria Iversen precede him in death.
Best Funeral Services of Peoria assisted the family with arrangements.
