Robert "Bob" Delgadillo, 50, passed away on June 21, 2007 after a short battle with cancer. He was the oldest of three children born to Juan and Mary Delgadillo.
He was raised in Seligman, Ariz., and married his high school sweetheart, Georgia. In 1976, they moved to Flagstaff where their three children were born and raised.
Over the years, he was a laborer at Ponderosa Paper Company and Jeld Wen Fiber, and he also managed his own rental properties.
His real claim to fame is the antics he would pull on unsuspected customers at the famous Delgadillo's Snow Cap, in Seligman, where you can get a cheeseburger with cheese and dead chicken. He was a gifted drummer and played with many of the local musicians throughout the years. He was a natural at making someone feel like one of the family, which has won him love and affection of many.
Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother.
He is survived by his wife of almost 32 years, Georgia; two daughters, Bree of Las Vegas and Aerie Wolfe (Jason) of Flagstaff; a son Matthew of Wichita; as well as two beautiful grandsons. He is also survived by his brother Juan of Seligman and sister Cecilia Alvarado of Bullhead City; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed dearly.
Services will be in Flagstaff at St. Pius X Chapel 2257 E. Cedar Ave. Rosary will be recited Sunday evening, June 24, at 7:30 pm where Bob will also be eulogized. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, June 25.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his honor at the American Cancer Society's Climb Chino for Cancer, to take place in Seligman on July 21.
